Moving empty coal cars on the RPRC

I saw the 23rd Ave yard is full of coal cars again tonight which reminded me to get these latest shots annotated. The Richmond Pacific is moving coal cars from the UP at Stege, to the Port of Richmond, 100 cars at a time, every ten days. I had watched and listened to two of the RPRC’s switchers cutting bad order cars out of the mix for about 20 min before they dragged fifty of the good hoppers out to the UP line. The latest set of photos shows the action at Stege, getting the long cut of cars set out for pickup.

Check out the latest set of photos, descriptions and modeler’s notes.

Cheers, Coxy.
