Richmond Pacific Installs Station Signs

About a week ago, station signs were installed at several locations around the RPRC system. The Richmond Pacific is a well run and well maintained railroad. The right of way is kept clean and tidy and the signs are a professional addition.

I suspect that the new station signs are part of an ongoing effort to get visiting BNSF crews to obey the no-horn “quiet zones” on the RPRC. Visiting road crews in particular blow for every crossing to the chagrin of many locals.

The signs will assist visiting train crews, who may be based as far away as Fresno, in understanding where they are on the shortline.

Here’s a pictobrowser of the station signs:

The pics are located here on my Flickr site. Just click the Flickr badge on the right hand column.
