BNSF 7711 Baretable at Safeway Siding

It’s been a busy start to the year leaving little time for posting. I’ve been moving my photos to my Flickr account to take advantage of better tools and features for dealing with photos. I’m still messing around with the best way to organize the photos so they can be easily found later. Once I’m done, I’ll link it in to this site for easy reference.

I’ve been dong a ton of work in 3rd Plan It in anticipation of making sawdust this year. Nothing like a pending deadline to drive a bucket-load of design changes! I’ll get some renderings posted when I can.

We rode our bikes over to Longs on Sunday. Here’s a quick video of a single BNSF unit we saw hauling a mile of well cars from the Port of Oakland. BNSF 7711 is an GE ES44DC. This is one of the few times I have seen a single unit on a baretable through here. Normally we see two or more units. I’ve added a few titles to the clip to help orient things. (The vid was actually shot on 01/13/08 not the 14th as in the titles.)
